How To Get Stress Out of My Life? I Get My Beauty Sleep!

While this might sound easy, with kids, work, husbands, hobbies, and friends, our sleep time can start to suffer.

Even getting just two hours less sleep a night can have serious side effects, especially in the long term.

If you’re not getting eight hours a night, it’s time to start considering what you can reduce or cut out of your life to make sure it’s easy to get the sleep that you need.

Sleep is the ultimate stress-fighter.

It processes thoughts and emotions and leaves you relaxed and refreshed, ready to take on whatever may come.

Aside from helping you battle stress, it revitalizes your skin, improves your mental functions, and boosts your mood.

How To Get Stress Out of My Life? I get my ABC’s

Are you getting your daily dose of vitamins?

If you’re not getting your letter vitamins, you’re not even giving your body a chance to combat stress properly.

You’re actually contributing to your stress levels, as your body doesn’t have the components it needs in order to function properly.

While a blood test at a doctor’s office can tell you whether or not you’re getting enough vitamins, if you’re feeling down trodden, stressed out, and tired, it’s likely you’re not.

Up your intake of fruits and vegetables and maybe even add in an all-natural vitamin supplement if you suspect you’re really deficient in some of the most essential and necessary vitamins.

The one vitamin supplement I take is vitamin D, because it’s not easily available in food.

How To Get Stress Out of My Life?  I Unplug from Technology

Unplugging before bed actually help you sleep better!

But…is even better.

Learning to unplug throughout your day can give you time to actually deal with and process stress.

Plus, there’s a lot of stress that comes from the use of devices.

They’re stressful on your eyes, on your hands, and using them all the time can just leave you feeling amped up and unhappy.

There’s also a certain amount of pressure that goes along with being available all the time.

People want instant answers to their text messages and emails, will get upset if you don’t answer their calls immediately, and don’t understand why being so connected all the time makes you stressed out.

Just unplug.

Either get rid of the device or turn it off and do something else.

  1. Right now, turning off technology and getting more sleep are priorities.

Especially technology. WHY is it so hard?

    1. Hi Jenn, Thanks for the comment. In many ways we are “addicted” to technology, and that makes us “addicted to stress”. So it’s not always easy to turn OFF technology so that we can relax, unwind, and destress. When I realized that I was doing myself more HARM than good by staying connected all the time, it was easier for me to UNPLUG! Look at it that way! Unplugging is your “gift” to yourself…to recharge, re-balance, and rejuvenate on a regular basis! And only YOU can give yourself that precious gift!
