  1. Great list! I love a good staycation! 🙂

Cooking is actually another favorite one for me – I have a couple of things I like to make that are kind of all-day projects and when I take time off and don’t travel one of those can be a great day to while away a rainy day.

    1. Thanks for your comment Bonnie. Cooking is a GREAT idea for a staycation. I have actually been planning to take a good vacation at home and spend that time with my mom learning to cook and bake ALL the childhood goodies I loved growing up. Like home made apple pie ( from scratch) and home made buns! Yummie. I loved those treats growing up and it would be awesome to spend my next staycation cooking/baking with my mom.

  2. I love your picnic idea! That is something I don’t typically think about, but such a simple way to get away from everything and enjoy a moment of spontaneity. Especially with my hubby! 🙂

    1. What a great idea to go picnicking with your hubby Jennifer! Make is a surprise picnic if possible. The element of spontaneity ads to the romance! 🙂 There are so many options for stay home vacation ideas that we may not typically think about, but the simplest thing can sometimes have the biggest impact when it comes to stress relief. Let me know how the picnic goes! 🙂
