  1. What are my three greatest distractions at home? The most common distractions and time wasters are often electronic in nature. Your cell phone, laptop, and the television can leave you wondering where the time went. Other distractions might include an annoying neighbor, an organization that requires too much of your time, or frequent headaches.

  1. Such great great great tips. Oddly enough what’s helped me the most has been structured procrastination.
    It’s a Way I’ve chosen to approach my to do list which, in essence, facilitates my procrastinating tendencies and finals them toward getting work done. I may never finish that looming grand life goal which is number one on the list – – but I’m finishing all the work which is due by Friday 🙂

    1. Structured procrastination! That has a classy ring to it…and I may have to look into that some more. 🙂 What try to eliminate most of the distractions so that I can focus and I always have my good old time management tool handy…my do to LIST!

  2. Time management is such an important skill that so few of us really know how to use outside of work. I know that myself and many of my friends have no problem using our time management skills in the workplace but don’t effectively use those same skills to make the most of our free time. It is one of my goals this year to make sure that my free time is used effectively so that I am doing the best to keep everything together.

    1. Good point about managing time at home vs at work. Its OK to be less structured at home, but its not OK to spend the entire evening on social media…unless of course, that is work. 🙂 ( In which case, work-life balance kicks in…)

  3. These are some really great tips! One thing that I have found is that my optional activities have actually created more stress in my life, so as you suggested I have been trying to cut back and only keep those that are vital to my self care.

  4. I like that “to do list” magnetic notepad. I have a magnetic grocery shopping list and meal planner, so this would be a nice addition to help keep me organized.
